Haven't posted for a while, made Sabrina and I a creamy custard today.

She likes custard and I like to give her a variety so she doesn't get bored with her food. She is going to turn 16 tomorrow (Feb. 26) I am so happy for another birthday!
She stands in her walk about and plays the piano and just smiles!

We read a lot of books, she likes all the books we read. She can't get enough!
For Christmas she got a Walmart card from her sister, Shahala so she got some new clothes. We picked out two sweaters, a jacket and 2 pair of pants. This is the new jacket and it is so soft!

pneumonia

Sabrina had pneumonia for the first time, and we had to put her on oxygen. Her doctor gave me the option to keep her home or put her in the hospital, we kept her home and checked in with the doctor regularly. She was very willing to have the oxygen and not pull it off. The doctor gave her an antibiotic which we made sure she took til they were gone. She maybe very disabled and can't talk but I know she understands a lot. My son talked to her about keeping the oxygen on while I got other things ready. Making sure she is hydrated is vitally important to getting well. Staying hydrated when your sick is hard, keeping Sabrina hydrated is very hard. so I just did it by the clock every 15 minutes, didn't get a lot of sleep. But she is better now, but weening her off the oxygen has been a slow process. She is finally back to eating normal and being her cute self again.

Just an angel

Sometimes, when the day comes to an end and you know its time to rest you see this little sleeping one. She is so innocent and so sweet that you must stay just a while to watch over and just for a bit. She depends on us for so much just like a new born depend on their parents to take care of them to love and hold them. To help when they fall or get hurt.Their are so many who walk away by choice not knowing what they have been given. An opportunity to learn compassion and love above and beyond what they could have ever imagined. She has become one of the greatest teachers I have or will ever have, she is an incredible little girl!

Sabrina turned 14 today, what an incredible thing! Love that little teenager!
